Ladies’ Tennis, 1st Team Squad 2007

The Ladies 1st team again managed a top end of the table finish in the Premier division. We got off the a good start with a 14 – 10 win over Globe, our 2nd match was against Cumberland 2 and only managed a 12 all draw, this was the only match through out the season where I think we could have done better. We then had to play the 2 strongest teams in the division and lost out to Cumberland 1 18 – 6 and then 14 – 10 to Oakleigh Park. Wins against Totteridge and Finchley Manor followed. Our last match was against Brampton, but due to a severely weakened team we lost out 14 – 10.
We finished the season 3rd in the table, so well done to Nicole Shaw, Alex Maurice, Sue Tindale, Katherine Montague, Natalie Jordan and Marta Sanchez and thank you to all of the 2nd team players who played up for us and helped us secure a good finish - Anne Abbot, Martha MacCafferty, Janet Pugsley and Lucinda Thomas.
